Last year's summer didn't begin in Germany until June 21st and finished on September 23rd, but this year it has started very early, today is just June 12th and it's been pretty hot for a few days already, it's reaching 27 degrees Celsius today in Münster and that's pretty hot. It's been kind of sunny and sometimes extremely warm for a few of weeks, and I've been able to wear a tshirt but it's been kind of cold at times, so I've been carrying a sleeve shirt with me everywhere just in case. But starting from the 10th of June it was the first time I felt like it's actually summer in Münster.
Summer in Münster, Germany, is a wonderful time of year when the city comes alive with brilliant colors, warm weather, and an abundance of outdoor activities. It's just a great vibe because everyone is out and cheerful, as if they've been unleeched in some way.
I'm not sure what it is, but it really brings me joy when I see people having fun and just enjoying life in a more relaxed unrobotic way, and maybe it has something to do with the fact that I was born in Marrakech Morocco, and people there are a little bit more chilled, but the summer in Münster is almost like that, still lacks the openess but I see it getting there, or maybe it's just because of the sun. The sun has a profound effect on the people of Münster indeed.
Münsteraners, or individuals who reside in Münster, can be seen riding their bicycles anywhere,
but in the summer it's more likely to be to this magnificient forbidden heaven, or der Kanal
as it's known to others.
This site is filled with people from all over the country, and even though swimming is not permitted,
everyone does it anyways even ducks 😆😉
Although, on occasion, the police would be riding their boat along the Dortmund-Ems-Canal river, and
would hear people shout, "Get out of the river, the police are coming," and even the ducks would need to get out of the water, even the ducks.
The fun would start as soon as the police would leave
People linger out in the Kanal till very late in the summer because the sun doesn't set until 21:49.
Leave while the sun is still shining, there are gorgeous Cafes where you may enjoy a drink or meal
with some sun on your pretty face while listening to music.
Yeah, I agree summer in Münster rocks!
