I stepped out of my house today to get some fresh air and run some errands, and when riding my bicycle through Münster's old town,
I stumbled across the most gorgeous used book store in Münster; it's so antique looking and reeks with history and culture. I had seen this used book store previously and thought it was lovely, but it was closed at the time, so I simply stared at it from the outside and attempted to get a glimpse of what it looked like on the inside, but today I happily found it open and had to check it out.
When I got off my bike, there were already people outside the used book store looking for something interesting to read. Antiquariat Solder is the name of the used book store. I entered Antiquariat, which was even more lovely than I had anticipated, with books everywhere. Antiquariat book store is not that big in size, yet it has an intriguing charm that can only be felt by being there. I just asked a nicely-dressed man at his desk who was working or surfing the internet how old the used book store was, and he replied with a kind smile, "more than 40 years."
This used book store is the oldest in Münster, having been in existence for over 40 years. The kind man sitting at the bureau happened to be the owner of the used book store, and his name is Michael Solder, hence the name of the book store Antiquat Solder. He went on to tell me that Antiquat was not always a used book store, and that it used to be a store for making copper roofs more than 40 years ago. When I asked him how many books he owned, he said more than 30000. When I asked if there were any books in English, he said that there were in Italian, English, Latin, French, and even Arabic. I was impressed by Mr Solder's kindness, but I was even more impressed by the beauty and history that this beautiful store possesses. I then asked Mr Solder what book genres he carries, and as he was about to respond, I noticed through the door that there were some tourists who had been brought there to see this beautiful piece of history where I happened to be standing.
This one-of-a-kind bookstore carries books in a variety of categories, including literary fiction, science fiction, history, and art. Antiquat is not only a historic piece of Münster, but also a significant used book store that carries books that are not available online. If I need additional knowledge about anything that I can't find online, or just a unique book about anything, I believe this is the place to go. And the books are also pretty cheap.
Please contact Mr Solder if you require any other information.
