Münster

Münster is an independent city with 315,000 inhabitants in the northern part of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, in the west of Germany. The name Muenster, Moenster was derived from the Greek word monasterion, "monastery". The roots of Munster can be traced back to the 6th century AD. However, the small town wasn't officially founded until 793. Münster is a quiet and safe, young, green and stunning city, which was named "the 'most livable city in the world" in 2004. Münster is also known as the "Bicycle Capital of Germany," where students and professors alike bike through the city. Münster is considered the cultural center of North Rhine-Westphalia and is also the capital of Muensterland. It is also famous for being led by an Anabaptist and Lord Mayor of Muenster, Bernhard Knipperdolling.
From the minute I open my eyes in this beautiful city,
until the moment I close them, I am busy doing something. When I am not studying or working, I am cleaning and preparing for a more pleasant environment so I can study and work more. Munster is a wonderful city. Honestly, sometimes I feel like I am in a Disney movie because it is so beautiful and almost unbelievable and there is so much to see for a fairly small city with only 315000 inhabitants. I remember moving to Munster in 2018 and on my first day I went outside to look around and got lost until I found myself by this very long and beautiful river that captivated me with its beauty and was full of life with different kinds of water birds and rabbits running around in the bushes all around and I just followed this river and saw amazing sights and got to know Munster a bit better, this river was certainly my guide. Today, when I feel that I have worked too much or too hard, it relaxes me to just follow the  Münstersche Aa river , which is amazingly long. The Aa river is about 43 km long and starts near Havixbeck, another town northeast of Munster. If you are new here and did not have a guidebook, I would definitely recommend following the Aa river, it could really be your surprising guide to the city of Münster.
